Research Statement

In my research, I investigate business, strategic and policy issues in the context of information and communication technologies, firms, networks and markets?particularly those related to the telecommunications and Internet economy. Thereby, I pursue an interdisciplinary approach by combining both theoretical as well as empirical (lab and field) methods with elements from psychology, computer science or jurisprudence. My research has appeared or is accepted for publication in top scholarly journals like Information Systems Research, International Journal of Electronic Commerce (IJEC), Economics Letters, Business & Information Systems Engineering (BISE), Business Research, Telecommunications Policy or Electronic Markets. Furthermore, I serve as reviewer and editor for international conferences and academic journals.
