Consistent continuation of the bachelor's degree programme

The focus areas of ‘Data-Driven Business’ and ‘Information Systems Development and Management’ from the Bachelor's programme can be consistently continued and further deepened in the Master's programme in the focus areas of ‘AI & Data-Driven Business’ and ‘Information Systems Management’. The in-depth profile acquired in this way provides excellent preparation for attractive jobs in practice, but also for further doctoral studies.
A new feature is that students can already register for the Master's programme in parallel with their advanced Bachelor's studies and take exams there. This enables a ‘flying’ start to the Master's programme and shortened study times.

After your master's degree: The University of Passau is the only location in Germany to offer a DFG Research Training Group for doctoral students focusing on business informatics.

The DFG Research Training Group Digital Platform Ecosystems (DPE) offers a customized doctoral program at the highest international level and brings together more than 20 young researchers, professors from the University of Passau, and international visiting scholars from a range of disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum grade of 2.7
  • English language skills at level B2
  • At least 60 ECTS in business informatics. However, up to 40 ECTS may be from computer science and up to 40 ECTS from economics.
    • Broad interpretation of content; thesis and seminar paper are included
    • Always fulfilled if Bachelor's degree in business informatics was completed in Passau
